Take your best Imperial Stout and leave it to sit in Burgundy Pinot Noir barrels and you end up with Wineybeest.
A limited release of five hundred 750ml bottles, this is the closest thing to a beer/red wine hybrid I’ve ever tasted, the Wildebeest and the Pinot Noir fusing beautifully to give you rich dark chocolate, woodland leaf litter, tamarinds, prunes and aniseed and vanilla in a leather satchel, along with the steely tongue curling bloody red wine tannin that leaves your mouth tingling with joy.
And there’s a deep dark rum hit in the background, packed with plum pudding to give Wineybeest a beautifully warm round body.
What an exceptional bottle of beer this is.
