Wild Beer Co. Wildebeest (11%)

WildebeestBrewed with chocolate, crushed espresso beans and vanilla, Wildebeest is an amazingly good beer.
The smell is fresh coffee, rich and round and fruity, and the beer sits as black as pitch in my glass.
As you take a swig you find a thick prune and vanilla compote and a very strong hit of espresso.
The chocolate is rich and bitter, creamy and mouth coating, and over and around it you find a sharp blackberry tea and hedgerow pithiness.
Underpinning all this is a whisky heat that warms you through and makes you wish the beer in your glass in the most satisfying way.
Wildebeest is a beauty.
