Five Points Brewing Co. IPA (7.1%)

Five Points IPAThis is super.
Sitting a bright amber in my glass, the aroma is a bag full of jelly sweets.
The malting is round and rich and gooey, lots of chewy toffee, wafers, brown sugar and bran flakes.
It’s big and thick and mouth filling and creates a super platform for the hops.
And the hops – Galaxy and Cascade – are oily and resinous, sharp and bitter and packed with lychee and apricots, heather, hedgerow leaves and just a hint of aniseed.
And then there’s a finish that’s extremely bitter, crisp and dry.
As I said, super.
