Pouring a warm amber, the aroma of this little beer is peach compote and honey.
This is a beer that’s all about malts, and damned fine malts they are too.
Everything’s round and chewy, plump with marshmallow and toffee popcorn.
There’s wafers and just a hint of apple strudel too, and then the autumnal crunchy leaf hops come in all red and pithy, giving just enough of a bitter edge to stop the beer becoming overly sweet.
I have to say, I’m rather impressed.
