El Conquistador is an Extra Pale Ale presented in a great big quart can.
That’s two points (more or less), and it’s very good indeed.
Which is lucky as there’s a hell of a lot of it.
It pours a pale gold and smells of lemongrass and peaches.
There’s the most lovely gentle caramel, fig and ice cream cone malt, and a vanilla richness that adds some much needed body as the hops come on all brittle and bitter, with lots of grapefruit and lemon zest, lime and pineapple.
The finish is extremely long and bitter, crisp and dry.
And you get enough to share, if you feel that you must.
