This poured out of its can with a heavy chocolate bar aroma and sat deep, dark and heavy in my glass.
There’s a big sticky treacle, molasses, rum and raisin and chocolate malt, not forgetting a hit of espresso and a bowl of stewed plums.
The hopping is thick with redwood resin, crunchy red leaves, maple syrup and grapefruit, and there’s a dab of orange marmalade too.
All in all a rather decent Porter with a solid boozy backbone and a long sweet finish.
