One of my favourite beer smells is a well made Alt.
You know, that round brown nutty smell.
And Evan Altmighty gives it to you in buckets.
And the goodness doesn’t stop there, because taking a swig you find the most delicious toffee, fig and stewed plums along with hedgerow greenery and lime zest, some green tea and orange rind.
All this and a lovely American redwood resin backbone that sticks everything together and leads you to a tamarind and Muscovado sugar finish.
