This “Hoppy Red Beer” is really rather nice.
It pours a conker brown with a good foaming head and smells of Toffos and plums.
The malts are, as you’d probably expect from a red beer, big and round and chewy, lots of toffee to stick to your teeth, a crunchy biscuit base and runny honey in the corners.
There’s a nice saltiness too, and just a hint of tamarind and chocolate, and then there are bags of peach and lemon zest, mango and guava from the hops.
The beer ends with a long sticky bitter finish, making Sundown yummy.
And that is a technical term.
