Seven Brothers Brewery Stout Porter (5.2%)

Seven Brothers StoutThis little bottle of beer pours a lovely deep purple brown and smells of prunes and damson jam.
The malting is heavy with coffee and cereal, bitter chocolate, plums and blackberries, and the hops give you lots of hedgerow greenery and crisp autumnal leaves with a little piquant lemon rind on the side.
The finish is round and lightly smoky and bitter sweet with sugar syrup and nettle tea.
My only problem is that it is just a little bit thin and so all this loveliness disappears a bit too quickly.
Other than that, this is very nice indeed.
