The Wild Beer Co. Wild Goose Chase (4.5%)

Wild Goose ChaseThis is delightful.
Soft and gently sour, and with a lovely fresh fruitiness, Wild Goose Chase is a Sour Pale Ale brewed with gooseberries.
The aroma is cut grass and flower petals, and there’s a delicate honey and brioche malt and a big burst of hedgerow greenery from the hops.
The wild yeast brings a soft hazy mushroom earthiness and a white pepper spicy bite, and the gooseberries are plump and ripe, juicy green and taste just picked.
And with a finish that is lemon juice sharp, crisp and bitter, this really is lovely.
