Brew By Numbers 14|02 (8.5%)

14|02Brewed with Wai-Iti hops and lemon zest and then lagered for six weeks, this is yet another brilliant little beer from Brew By Numbers.
14|02 is a Tripel, its yeast giving a spicy background fuzz.
The aroma is Beedis and apple juice, and the beer sits a lovely bright gold in my glass.
There’s rolling tobacco in the flavour too, along with a big round caramel wafer and honey malt.
The Wai-Iti hops are an absolute delight, packed with mango, clementine, lime and kiwi, they’re fresh and tart and sharp.
In the background the alcohol warms everything, rounding the beer out and making the finish big and sticky and rich.
Very good indeed.
