This year’s Tripel Hop is brewed with Saaz and Styrian Golding with Equinox for dry hopping, and it may well be my favourite of this series yet.
You get the usual Duvel French bread crusts and salted caramel malting, and the lightly spiced earthy yeast.
The Saaz and Styrian Golding give a good bitter pithy green herbal hedgerow snap on your tongue, but ti’s the addition of Equinox that makes this beer really special.
It adds a super zippy lime zest, green apple and papaya fruitiness, and there’s some pepper and fizzy lemonade too.
And with its fresh fruity aroma and intensely bitter finish, this is super.
