Gipsy Hill Brewing Co. Dissident (4.8%)

DissidentDissident is an “English Porter”.
Dissident is rather good.
Dissident smells of treacle tart and cardboard boxes and Dissident is packed with dry toffee brittle, toasted brown bread, marshmallow, espresso and roasted woody chestnuts.
Dissident has a sharp hazel leaf herbal hedgerow hopping that provides a much needed bitterness and Dissident ends with a deliciously dry cocoa powder and walnut finish.
Dissident is good, but for the life of me I can’t work out why it’s called Dissident.
