Siren Craft Brew Liquid Monstrous (8.2%)

Liquid MonstrousOh boy oh boy, Liquid Monstrous is enormous.
Pouring a deep redwood red, the smell is toffee and plasticine and as you take a swig you realise you;re in for a big malty ride.
That’s not to say that there are not enough hops in here because there are plenty.
They’re sharp lemon rind, red leaf litter, pine resin and grapefruit, bitter and crisp, they pop and crackle with life.
But the malts here are huge slabs of salty caramel brittle, digestive biscuits, honey and treacle.
The finish is mega boozy, sticky, thick and very good indeed.
