Ooh, this is good.
A Porter brewed with five types of pepper and rye means that this inky black beer with its frothy cappuccino head smells of spicy chocolate and bramble jelly and tastes and feels lovely.
There are some good crunchy stinging nettle and green herb hops, but this is all about malting and peppercorns.
The malts are earthy rich from the rye and there’s some delicious rich chocolate, espresso and prunes too.
It’s a chewy, mouth filling beer and the the pepper adds a spiky heat that crackles away on your tongue making for a prickly bitter finish.
