Smoked and oak aged and hefty with alcohol, this is a beer that’s perfectly named.
Pouring a deep mahogany, the smell is brandy soaked toffee apples, and the beer tastes delicious and enormous and brain boggling, thick with molasses, bran flakes, whisky heat and honey.
And the list goes on.
Green grass clippings, wood smoke, sweet potato, cloves and hazel leaves all pummel away at your senses with the added punch of the powerful booziness.
The finish is resinous and sticky, gorgeously bitter sweet, it glues itself to you and refuses to go away.
A mighty beer indeed.
