Anspach & Hobday The Table Porter (2.8%)

The Table PorterI don’t know how they’ve done it, but you really can’t tell that this is a low alcohol beer.
Unlike a lot of the “Table” beers that, after tasting good initially, feel thin and disappear too quickly, Anspach & Hobday have created a Porter that is rich and creamy.
It smells of chocolate and coffee and as you take a swig you find lots of red fruit, toasted bread, black coffee and dark bitter chocolate.
There’s a light green leafy hopping hanging around too, and this brightens up the edges and adds a freshness to the delightfully gooey finish.
The Table Porter is very good indeed.
