Salopian Brewery Aphelion (5.5%)

Aphelion - 1Salopian keep going from strength to strength and Aphelion, a Black IPA, is a thing of beauty.
Looking for all the world like a creamy Stout with its big cappuccino head, the aroma is packed with black cherries and dates.
The malting is round and chewy and ripe with red berries, honey, walnuts and salted toffee, and the hops are fresh green herbal leaves, grapefruit and pomegranate, lime zest and orange marmalade.
The finish is at once sharp and bitter and plump with dark chocolate and black coffee.
Aphelion is another superb beer from Salopian.
