Anspach & Hobday The Cream Ale (5.2%)

The Cream Ale - 1Another great little beer from Anspach & Hobday, there’s a wonderful feel to this beer.
It’s smooth and, unsurprisingly, creamy, yet light and bubbly and full of fun.
In fact there’s a bit of a cream soda feel to this, including a warm vanilla background.
The malting is soft fudge and biscuits, vanilla ice cream and waffles and the aroma is apples and strawberries.
There’s a leafy herbal hopping with lemon and lime at the edges that leads you to a rich and warm boozy finish, but it’s the feel of this beer that sets it apart.
The round chewy creaminess is really rather lovely.
Very good indeed.
