BAD Brewing Circle Black IPA (5.6%)

Black IPA - 1I’ve not had a home brewed beer to review for ages, but this super little Black IPA has made the wait worthwhile.
Pouring a deep purple brown with a fluffy cappuccino head, the aroma is black cherries and chocolate.
The malting is rich with chocolate cake, coffee and plums, it’s round and warm and satisfying.
And then there are hops.
Lots of aniseed, lime, green garden herbs and fresh rolling tobacco lead you towards a finish that’s crisp and dry, big and meaty.
BAD Brewing Circle are a group of friends based in Leicestershire who get together at regular intervals to make beer.
Their next brew is a Barley Wine for Christmas.
You can read about all their brewing adventures on their blog.
