Bootlegger’s Brewery Old World Hefeweizen (5%)

Old World Hefeweizen - 1With a light hay and spiced peach aroma, this little creamy amber beer is really rather good.
There’s a little hint of fried banana in the background which adds a richness to the caramel, waffle and honeycomb malt body, and a very nice snappy herbal hop that’s woody and bright, full of basil and thyme, lemon rind and pencils, it has a metallic sharpness that keeps everything dry and crisp and clean.
And with its round creamy finish I like this very much indeed.
