After trying what seemed to be an endless stream of uninteresting beer from Spain, I’ve now had two bottles in a row that have been decent.
This is one of them.
Viakrucis is an “American IPA” that pours a rich amber and smells of peachy piney goodness.
The malting is sweet brown sugar, shortbread and lightly salted honey ,and there’s a big fruity hopping that’s sticky with wood resin and stuffed with lime leaves and mango, mandarin and grapefruit.
The body is round and chewy and the finish is long and bitter and pithy.
Muy bueno.
