Tamarind.
In the smell and the flavour.
Tamarind.
So much that it almost takes over completely.
Tamarind.
Real, fresh tamarind, not the dip you get from your local Indian takeaway.
Proper tamarind like I used to pick in Jamaica.
There’s some toffee and biscuits too, as well as some dry crunchy hops, a twist of lemon and a handful of herbal leaves.
But mainly there’s tamarind.
It’s a flavour that I like, a flavour that has nostalgic qualities for me.
Decent but a bit one dimensional.
