Gloucester Brewery’s Art IPA is a rich amber beer that smells of redwood and caramel.
It’s a big bold drink with a malt heavy in toffee and waffles, honey and sea salt.
The hopping here is splendid, packed full of kiwi and sherbet, lime leaves, grapefruit, hazel and pine, and there’s taste that’s sitting in the background that makes me think of painting my back fence.
Weird I know, but I mean it in a good way.
It’s outdoorsy, woody, varnishy and really rather tasty.
The finish is sweet and fruity, zesty, bitter and ever so long.
Very nice indeed.
