Hop Stuff Brewery – Single Hop Simcoe (4.2%)

tnI popped along to the Hop Stuff open evening on Friday just to try this beer. It’s the third beer in their single hop series and I mentioned the first two here.

It has a wonderful citrus smell (passion fruit/grapefruit) coupled with a woody aroma. The first few mouthfuls also confirmed the fruit which then gave way to a dry and slightly bitter brew that managed to refresh the palate on a warm June evening. It’s another worthy addition to their single hop beer range.

The brewery also gave a debut to their keg Pale Ale. However I didn’t try it. It also seems they will be brewing the Saisonniers again which is good news!
