Extra Pale Ale?
So, maybe it’s an IPA then?
I ask that because this is an “Extra Pale Ale” so I was expecting a beer that was extra pale.
You know, really pale and light.
But I think that in this instance it means extra in the sense of stronger, more, bigger.
At least the big and lovely face full of hops and the reasonably hefty ABV suggests that that is what it means.
Operation vacation is an orange marmalade coloured beer with a fruit salad aroma and a squidgy caramel and shortcake malt.
The hops are an absolute delight, giving you pineapple and peach, nectarine, lime and grapefruit.
And with a finish that’s long, sparkly, bitter and dry, whatever you want to call it, this Pale Ale is extra good.
