Mikkeller Spontanredcurrant (7.7%)

Spontanredcurrant - 1This.
A rich dry rosé beer with loads of fruity red berries that sit on a soft sticky toffee and mushroom, straw and raisin base.
The aroma is hay bales and silage, currants and lemons, and every sip begins round and fleshy and sweet and then turns tannin dry, leathery and form there the über tart pithy sourness kicks in.
It makes for a beer with loads of layers of flavour, from red fruit, through sweet sticky honey, to a sharp tart dry wine finish that’s infused with a damp musky woodiness.
As I said, this is fabulous.
