Sadler’s Brewery Peaky Blinder (4.6%)

Peaky Blinder - 1From its deep purple brown colour to its rich round treacle body, Peaky Blinder is a super beer.
A Black IPA brewed with five malts (Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Roasted and Wheat) and five hops (Amarillo, Cascade, Citra, Chinook and Nelson Sauvin), the aroma is chocolate coated liquorice root.
The malts are big and toasty, brown bread crusts, dark chocolate and lots of treacle tart, and the hops are feisty and fruity.
You find orange marmalade in here, along with lime zest and lemon rind, gooseberries, sherbet, aniseed and lots of herbal leaves.
The finish is both creamy and sharp, leaving a Dandelion & Burdock bitter sweet dryness that I like very much indeed.
