Beeston Brewery Village Life (4.8%)

Village Life - 1Village Life is a Best Bitter, and I’m a sucker for a Best Bitter when it’s done well.
And Village Life has been.
Pouring a deep chestnut brown, the aroma is toffee and damsons, fruity, sweet and sharp.
The malts, produced locally to the brewery in Norfolk, are round and crunchy with lots of biscuits and bread crusts, apple cores and honey, and there’s a very nice aniseed, hedgerow, hazel and green tea hop that provides a sharp peppery punch and leads you into a round and chewy, soft bitter finish.
Yup, I’m an absolute sucker for a well made Best Bitter.
