Harviestoun The Ridge (5%)

The Ridge - 1This is a big beer.
A fun beer.
A beer to get your teeth into.
The Ridge is a Pale Ale with the body and mouthfeel of a big bad oily Double IPA and the sweet sticky toffee apple joy of a good old English Ale.
The aroma is honey and apples and pears, and when you take a swig you’re immediately hit by a huge toffee, orchard fruit, shortbread biscuit and honey malt.
The hopping, a blend of American Amarillo and unnamed British varieties, gives you a nettle tea, lemon rind, sherbet, grapefruit and hedgerow mix that leads you to a superb bitter sweet gloopy resinous finish.
In a word, yummy.
