Brixton Brewery Windrush Stout (5%)

Windrush Stout - 1With the large West Indian community based in and around Brixton, Windrush is the perfect name for this little Stout.
And Windrush is a good Stout.
It pours an inky black with a creamy head and smells of cola bottles, liquorice and damsons.
The malting is red stewed fruit, chocolate, coffee and aniseed, and there’s a decent green hedgerow hopping that’s dry and pithy with dandelion and burdock and a good hit of sorrel.
The finish is rich and and round, though this bottle lacks just a little bit of fullness to its body.
All in all I like this very much.
