Camden Vs Stone & Wood Lager (4.9%)

Camden Versus Stone & Wood Lager - 1A collaborative Lager brewed with Australian hops sounds alright to me, and maybe I’m just down on Camden, but this, like their India Hells Lager that everyone but me seemed to think so wonderful, I simply find just about OK.
There’s some nice citrus fruit in the smell, mixed with a hint of sweetcorn, and the beer looks a bit like frothy wee in my glass.
The malting feels far too light, barely holding up against the hops which are sharp and keen but lack any real focus.
Sure they’ve got lots of prickly citrus, but it’s not a fruitiness you can put your finger on, more a homogenous slap.
Drinkable, but far from amazing.
