Fantôme Chocolat (8%)

Chocolat - 1Oh Fantôme, with each beer I love you more.
There’s something so satisfying, so immensely drinkable about everything that this brewery does, and yet on the surface it’s just a little brewery doing Saisons.
Which is where this beer begins.
It’s a Fantôme Saison full of honey and mushrooms, silage, garden mulch, hedgerow, croissants, dap fence posts and worn leather wallets.
Everything I want from a good Saison.
And then in the background there’s a warm and mouth filling chocolate and the piquant bite of red chilli peppers.
They prickle away at you without taking over while the chocolate strokes you gently as you wander towards the bitter dry and rather wonderful finish.
If I could only drink beer from one brewery for the rest of my life it’d be Fantôme.
