Hammerton’s Pale Ale is a little hoppy delight.
Pouring a peachy gold with a frothy white head, the aroma is sweet shops and orchard fruit.
The malting is toffee brittle, praline, peanuts and biscuits, equally chewy and crunchy, and altogether satisfying.
Over this there’s a great mix of American and New Zealand hops that give a sherbet coated hit of kiwi, green grapes, lime zest and walnuts along with a lick of pine resin.
And with a finish that’s big and dry, bitter and crisp, this is very nice indeed.
