Bishop Nick is Ridley’s Brewery new branding, and this is a decent enough Golden Ale.
Mind you, it’s taken me some time to find a beer by the brewery that I like, and there were even a couple I liked so little that I didn’t even bother reviewing.
Heresy has a lemonade and iced gem aroma and sits an unsurprising gold in my glass.
The malting is dry crumbly Rich Tea biscuit, caramel and honey, with a little damp straw at the edges, and the hops are sharp herbal hedgerow greenery, fresh lemon juice and chamomile tea which leads you to the long, dry bitter sweet finish.
Decent enough.
