Fell Brewery Robust Porter (4.8%)

FullSizeRender 2I’m not sure what I think of this beer.
It has a lot of nice flavours going on in it, with tongue coating chocolate, some toasted brown bread and a glob of burned toffee, along with a slap of herbal green leafy hops.
The aroma is quite good too, more chocolate, a spoonful of plums and some honey.
But this beer is very thin indeed.
In fact it is so thin that its watery body washes the lovely flavours away far too quickly leaving a slightly odd chalky texture.
THere’s certainly nothing very robust about it.
I’ve decided, I don’t like it very much.
