Flying Dog Brewing Co. Juniper White IPA (6.5%)

Juniper White IPA - 1You know that lovely steely crisp dryness you get from a good gin?
Well it’s in here and it’s wonderful.
Part of Flying Dog’s Brewhouse Rarities range, this Wheat IPA with juniper berries pours a bright good with a fluffy white head and smells of bouquet garni and gin.
The malting is creamy and light, soft runny honey and wafers, popcorn and vanilla ice cream, and the added lime peel pops out through this fluffy goodness with a sharp zesty punch that adds an extra fruitiness to the bitter green leafy hops and the trademark Flying Dog resinous pine needle thing that I like so much.
The finish is gin, pure and simple.
It’s clean and crisp and super dry, warm with alcohol but zippy from the lime zest that just keeps on keeping on over the pithy bitter juniper berries.
Super.
