North Union Brewing Co. Amber (4.6%)

Amber - 1This is an “Amber/Gold Craft Lager” whatever that means.
Does it mean it’s a lagered beer or does it mean it’s a Golden Ale or some such brewed with lager malts and/or hops?
Who knows.
The bottom line is that whatever it is it’s not on my to-drink-again list.
There’s a dirty, slightly chemical lemoniness to the smell, more washing up liquid than citrus fruit, and the malts, though honey and lemon, are far closer to Lockets than to fresh fruit and honey.
The hops are a thin wisp of spicy undergrowth and herbal greenery and the finish has an unpleasant, battery acid and urine dryness to it.
