Barley Forge Brewing Co. Grandpa Tractor (5%)

Grandpa TractorOh my.
Everyone is making Lagers these days and not all of them are good.
This however, this is really very good indeed.
Brewed with noble hops and Pilsen malt, Grandpa Tractor is a Dortmunder style Lager that pours a pale gold and smells of orchard fruit and summer meadows, sweet, warm and beautifully gentle.
The malting is vanilla ice cream in a crispy wafer, coated in honey and sprinkled with a pinch of salt, and the the hops are green and herbal, spiky with nettles and smooth with chamomile tea.
And with a lovely fizz to the crisp clean finish, Grandpa Tractor is the best Lagered beer I’ve drunk in ages.
