Brixton Brewery Coldharbour Lager (4.5%)

Coldharbour LagerI generally like Brixton’s beer, but this is more than a bit weak.
Ostensibly a Pilsner, I’m not altogether sure that this is lagered at all, but rather an ale brewed with Pilsner ingredients.
Whatever it is, it pours a bit flat and smells a bit bland, with only the merest hint of garden flowers in the aroma.
The malting is a super light caramel and wafers, and the hops are lemony and gently herbal, but the beer as a whole is thin and watery and nowhere near fizzy enough.
Hey ho, you can’t win them all.
