If you want a great big boozy, gloopy, treacle tart of a beer then grab a bottle of Flying Dog’s K-9 and sit in a comfortable chair.
And you’ll need a comfortable chair as K-9 is mind wobblingly boozy.
Pouring a rich mahogany red, the smell is plums stewed in whisky, fruity and round and deeply alcoholic.
Taking a swig you find an enormous sticky toffee pastry tart thing, a load of honey and a some white pepper, and around it the hops are sharp and green, herbal leaves and fresh rolling tobacco, all glued together with a woody resin.
The finish is candy sugared lemon rind, sweet and bitter, it sticks your teeth together while the boozy warmth slaps you full in the face.
