Gyle 59 Halcyon Daze (5%)

Halcyon DazeEasily my favourite so far of all the Gyle 59 beers that I’ve tried, Halcyon Daze is a Wheat Beer brewed with coriander and with Centennial hops accompanying the traditional Saaz.
The beer pours a cloudy gold and smells of lightly spiced orchard fruits, and as you take a swig you find a soft creamy malt full of waffles and honey, caramel and bread dough, and spicy hedgerow from the Saaz with the Centennial jumping out over the top with a good blast of bitter lemon zest and fresh green herbs.
And in the finish the coriander adds a little extra zip that really brightens the crisply bitter dry finish.
