This is a big chewy delight of a beer.
It’s round and soft and fruity, pouring into my glass a conker red with an aroma that’s all toffee apples and barley sugar.
It’s a malt heavy beer packed with honey and toffee, popcorn, brown bread and biscuits.
But never fear, you’ll find some hops in here too.
They’re gentle, subtle, but definitely there, giving you a prickle of hedgerow greenery and some spiciness that cuts across the gloopy caramel of the finish.
