A small review for a grand beer, this is a rather fine Double IPA that packs a big toffee malt punch to the belly and a sharp hoppy slap to the face.
The beer pours a deep conker red and smells of soft fruits trapped in amber.
The malting is big and round and chewy, all honey and digestives, caramel and sea salt, and the hops cut across this with pin sharp lemon rind, mandarins, grapefruit zest and lime leaves that drags you gasping to the long dry and very bitter finish.
Super.
