Thornbridge Rhubarbe De Saison (5%)

Rhubarbe De SaisonI know I’m not a fan of Thornbridge, but this is terrible.
Winner of this year’s Great British Homebrew Challenge, this is a Rhubarb Saison with a watery Saison yeast and caramel aroma and the most hideous acidic bile tinge to the flavour right from the first mouthful.
There’s none of the roundness, the earthiness, you’d expect from a Saison.
Instead there’s this acrid and downright nasty sick-in-your-mouth thing that’s simply undrinkable.
All that said, I’m probably wrong as everyone but me seems to love everything that Thornbridge does.
I poured it away.
