What a little bottle of joy this is.
Pouring an inky black with a big cumulonimbus of froth for a head, the smell of stewed forest fruits and spices wafts up at your invitingly.
Taking a glug you get an enormous treacle tart, liquorice and Stollen cake malting, some fried banana on the side, lots of winter spices and a blast of alcohol heat that warms the beer through while the hops snap and crackle with crunchy hedgerow leaves and a good sticky resin that makes for a lip smackingly fresh finish.
Superb.
