Fresh and bright and lively, this “Old World Saison” sits a golden straw in my glass and smells of apricots, silage and hay bales.
The malting is a soft caramel brioche, sour dough and honey delight, and the hops are a classic blend of hedgerow greenery, chestnut dryness and zippy lemon rind.
And bubbling away underneath there’s a sharp earthy yeast that gives a sour edge and a hit of farm yard sweetness that leads you to a long dry and very refreshing finish.
