Cloudwater Brew Co. Porter (6%)

Porter - 1Part of Cloudwater’s Autumn Range, this little Porter is simply stunning.
I’m not quite sure what it is that this brewery is doing that makes everything they brew turn to gold, but this beer has stopped me in my tracks.
It pours a deep purple brown and smells of chocolate cake and espresso.
The malting is thick and dark with treacle and molasses, chocolate ice cream, bitter black coffee and a little raisin fruitiness in the background, and the hops are bitter and crisp, crunchy and damp woodland foliage, nettle tea, a hint of tamarind, lemon zest and pithy hazel that leads you into a long chocolate coated superbly dry finish.
