Brewed with Sushi rice, Sorachi Ace hops and green tea, Gojira is really rather super.
It pours a deep gold and smells of toffee apples and lemon rind.
There’s a superbly gooey toffee brioche malt, lots of honey and some salted peanut brittle forming the backbone of the beer.
The sushi rice adds a creaminess that makes the beer feel lovely and round, soft and chewy, and the green tea lends a richness that works with the saison yeast to create a deep earthiness over which the Sorachi Ace hops bring their sharp yuzu citrus tang to the soft gloopy bitter sweet finish.
Absolutely delightful.
