Brewed with Valencia oranges and orange blossom honey, this is a delightful beer that hides its alcohol far too well.
Pouring a pale gold, the smell is oranges and honeycomb, sweet and rich and warm, it’s a smell that makes you want to take a big swig.
The malting is more of the above, shortcake and caramel, butternut squash and honey, and the hops are lightly smeared in redwood sap, peach flesh, grapefruit and mango, with the oranges lending a sharp and rich zesty citrus hit, and the honey gives a thick chewy sweetness to the big boozy finish.
Very good indeed.
